Abstract
The present study is focused on two general conceptions of science in the Qur'an's view as an abstract and sensible truth as well as some objective-empirical and tangible knowledge. In this research, the meaning of science under the title of "value" and "method" has been studied from the perspective of the Qur'an. Therefore, looking at the Qur'an, the valuable and ethical - descriptive aspect of science and its methodical and empirical - objective aspect have been examined.
The result has been that in the Qur'an, science is considered as a "value" when it is discussed in the human circle and from the existential perspective, and science, in this way, belongs to man and the universe within him. Whenever in the realm of nature and the system of creation being studied in the form of "ayat" [signs of God] is regarded as a "method" so it belongs to the world of nature and the outer world. Hence, the Holy Qur'an repeatedly emphasizes that this "method" must constantly move in the direction of that “value”.
